Matthieu Desiderio

Transport specialist, Matthieu Desiderio worked for two years with the French Trade Office in Washington, DC; during this period, he promoted the activities of French businesses’ from the Transport & Infrastructure sector. Since July 2007, he is back in France employed as a Project manager with the French Department of Transportation, and working on rail, waterways, and maritime issues. Graduate from l’Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’Etat (French National Civil Engineer School), Matthieu Desiderio is now a PhD student, writing a thesis about “Freight Rail Infrastructure Planning and Financing: a Comparative Study of French and American Cases”. Since early 2008, he created Transport Expertise, an innovative and unique website dedicated to the “transport sphere”; providing its readers with topical news, studies, and analysis using a comparative “touch of French-American way of thinking” on how transport is managed in both countries.

Transport specialist, Laurent Diringer has been working since 2005 as Studies Engineer with Egis Mobilité in Aix en Provence, France. Egis Mobilité belongs to Egis, one of the major European and worldwide key-player in land-use planning and development. During this period, he provided several traffic and public transportation studies for public and private clients or institutions. Laurent Diringer is graduated from l’Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’Etat (French National Civil Engineer School), and obtained a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Passenger Transport Studies. He joined Transport Expertise at the end of 2008, and is a Transport Expertise Association’s founder members.
